Anna Smith
Anna grew up immersed in the mountains of Chattanooga and the marshes of Savannah, Georgia, which directly cultivated her fondness for the natural world. At the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Anna majored in Nonprofit Management and minored in Environmental Science and Design Foundations. Outside of the classroom, she interned with City Farms Growers Coalition and the Chattanooga Food Center and became immersed in local food systems efforts.
Through these local engagements and classroom teachings, she furthered her understanding of her passions: relational food systems and food sovereignty. At Caney Fork Farms, Anna feels excited to deepen her understanding of soil and plant caretaking, to work among a kind, passionate, and inspired team, and to help feed our supporters!
