How Do Community Supported Agriculture Programs Work at Caney Fork Farms?

Welcome to Caney Fork Farms! Nestled in the hills of Middle Tennessee, we are a regenerative farm dedicated to sustainable practices and providing fresh, organic produce and high-quality meats to our community. Let's explore how our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs operate and how you can enjoy our offerings while supporting local farmers and regenerative practices.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and consumers. By joining a CSA, members invest in a share of the farm's harvest in advance, providing essential financial support to farmers. In return, members receive a regular supply of fresh, organic produce and other farm products like eggs and honey. At Caney Fork Farms, we offer a year-round, organic Veggie CSA and a Regenerative Meat CSA. By joining our Regenerative Meat CSA, you will receive the highest quality, pasture-raised, 100% grass-fed, and finished meats.

To participate, you sign up for a share that entitles you to weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly deliveries of fresh produce and meats. This membership fee helps cover costs like seeds, labor, and tools, directly supporting small-scale farmers dedicated to organic and regenerative farming. Once you're a member, you will receive regular deliveries of locally-grown produce, which vary with the season. This means you'll get to enjoy a variety of vegetables, herbs, and occasional fruits. Our regenerative farming practices also ensure that you receive high-quality, nutrient-dense meats and produce sustainably and ethically raised.

Meet Our Dedicated Farm Staff

Behind every farm share you receive is a team of hardworking and passionate individuals pouring their hearts into every aspect of farming. The Veggie and Livestock staff at Caney Fork Farms work tirelessly to ensure the highest quality produce and meats reach your table. From the early mornings spent carefully planting seeds to the meticulous harvesting of crops, our team dedicates themselves to regenerative farming practices. They care for the animals, ensuring they are raised ethically and sustainably, and manage the land to promote soil health and biodiversity. Their commitment to their craft and the environment makes Caney Fork Farms special.

Sliding Scale

Caney Fork Farms is deeply committed to making fresh, locally-grown food accessible to everyone in our community. We understand that financial situations vary, and we strive to ensure that our CSA program is inclusive and affordable for all by offering customers a sliding scale. A sliding scale is a flexible pricing structure that allows customers to pay based on their financial means, making our CSA accessible to a broader range of people. Participation in the sliding scale is completely voluntary, and we will not ask any personal questions about finances or life circumstances, as this program is honor-based. By signing up for a farm share, you support our dedicated farm staff and your fellow community members. This contribution to our diverse offerings, from pasture-raised chickens to a thriving chestnut orchard, helps us create a healthier future for our community.
